The “Sunshine” vampire crab is a bright trade colour label applied to Geosesarma dennerle, a small, land-leaning freshwater crab best suited to humid, planted paludaria.

Individuals can vary in how strongly the yellow/orange tones show, especially under different lighting and backgrounds, but the overall appeal is a warm, high-contrast look paired with vivid eyes. Behaviour is typical for Geosesarma: it spends most of its time on land, weaving through leaf litter and roots, climbing textured hardscape, and retreating quickly if the enclosure feels exposed.

Activity is usually strongest from late afternoon into the evening, with steady foraging and short exploratory climbs. A dense layout with multiple tight hides makes them noticeably more confident and visible.
