ABOUT THIS SPECIES

The White Mandarin vampire crab is a pale, high-contrast trade colour form sold under Geosesarma dennerle, ideal for planted paludarium displays where its lighter tones stand out against moss, leaf litter and dark hardscape.

Like other Geosesarma, it’s strongly land-leaning: most time is spent in the damp “forest floor” layer, weaving through roots and décor, then retreating into tight cover between foraging runs. Expect the most visible activity from late afternoon into the evening, especially once the enclosure is dense and offers shaded pathways. Although freshwater must be available, they typically use it for drinking and dipping rather than living fully aquatic, so land area and cover usually matter more than water depth.
